| This template allows the teacher or the student to
quickly and easily change the color of selected
text by holding the option and command
keys and typing one letter. (When demonstrating
to a group of students with a computer and projector, this saves time and
allows the teacher to focus on the students and not on the computer.) This
will be useful for helping students look critically at text. For example:
colors may be use to highlight topic sentences, supporting points in persuasive
writing, descriptive words, grammar errors, rhyming words in poems, metaphors,
opinions vs. facts, etc.
Use text from the Internet by copying it and pasting it into this template
for evaluation. (Observe copyright laws by crediting text and using it
only for specific educational lesson in your classroom.) Writings by other
students are abundant on the web and these make great samples to evaluate.
